It showed me how to laugh and how to cry ...
Pete Mikelson, now owns John's 1978 Yamaha L-53 He actually let us play it ... Thanks for sharing "This Old Guitar" with us ...

Patti played her tribute song "October Aspens" for us ...
At the Mountain Chalet, John's guitar was passed around ...
And I wonder if he's watching from somewhere far away, I wonder if he's listening in some magic mystic way ... For there's a dream that someday every voice will sing as one, and I do believe that this is what one man has done. ... Steve Brook (Shooting Stars)

Colorado Memories ... form Jenny This was my first trip out to Colorado and picking a favorite memory is like picking a favorite John Denver song....its almost impossible! There were so many beautiful sights, sounds, and new friends to meet. But one of the things that stands out in my mind was the first time I saw Maroon Bells. What an awesome sight. The Bells were so majestic and the lake was so crystal clear and mirrored everything around it. Looking into it I could truly see images of our Creator. The second time we went to Maroon Bells it had snowed and was even more beautiful. (if that's possible) I decided to go for a quite walk by myself along the stream. It was so peaceful and serene. I saw signs of those who had been there before me all around. Deer tracks, rabbit tracks, and even what I think was a beaver track. I didn't even notice the cold. I was just taking everything in. When John said "You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply", he wasn't kidding! Back to Page One |
