| Denver Delights ... From time to time, little things happen that remind you of John. They always make you smile ... I like to call them 'Denver Delights' ================================================================= Thanks for sending me your 'Denver Delights' ... Keep them coming and look for them in future newsletters ... Laura ================================================================= From Janice ... I was listening to the Ellen Degeneres Show. She was playing some sort of a game with someone at home, on closed circiut TV. The listener won and her baby popped into the picture. She said his name was Denver, after John Denver ... <+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+> From Emily ... We were at a Band Concert. It was intermission. Jim, my husband, and Charles, my brother, were standing around eating cookies and drinking punch. Charles was standing there in the "Colorado" shirt that he had been wearing all day. It was the usual Colorado T-shirt with a map of the state and the word "Colorado" proudly displayed above. It had the state flag and the state seal below the map. I am pretty sure he had worn it before but I had not paid any particular attention to the shirt. But all at once my eyes focused on the tiny print and the detail on the shirt. I saw the word "Aspen" and looking at it closer I saw the words "John Denver" with a picture of John's head right beside it. I couldn't believe it! - that the tiny detail there in his shirt had gone unnoticed by me before. John Denver in miniature was right there on his T-shirt, smiling out at me as if he had been observing us all the while! |
| Wow ... with all this creating the Aspen in October pages, I've put off doing the newsletter! So, here's the November newsletter ... before I make any more Aspen pages (I've got several more to create) I'm glad you have been enjoying them ... as I have had a great time creating them. <+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+> It's hard to believe that the 'holiday season' is already upon us ... with Thanksgiving just over a week away, it's time to start really planning our Christmas Card Exchange List ... And our New Year's Eve/JD Birthday Party. <+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+><+> To participate in the Christmas Card exchange ... Just email me your mailing address ... once the list is complete, I send it out those of us on the list. The idea is to send each person on the list a real Christmas Card ... some folks send regular cards while others get a bit creative and sometimes include a little JD type gift ...
