From time to time, little things happen that remind you of John. They always make you smile ... I like to call them 'Denver Delights' ================================================================= Thanks for sending me your 'Denver Delights' ... Keep them coming and look for them in future newsletters ... Laura ================================================================= From Audrey: My daughter and I walked the dog to the vet today. On the way back we picked up some trash in a grassy area that we passed through. Shortly after that we passed a car dealership playing a music box sounding instrumental version of a sweet tune that I couldn't place right away. Then it dawned on me that it was "Leaving On A Jet Plane". I thought with a smile "Oh, hi John" and felt thanked. From Pat ... My husband and I are off to Alaska for two weeks in July. The day we bought our airline tickets, we went out to eat and right during the middle of the meal, we hear over the loudspeaker, John singing "Perhaps Love." I hadn't even noticed ANY music playing up until then, as it was so low. But there he was, very clearly, singing...as if to say, "Hey! Have a wonderful time in Alaska!!" I don't seem to hear John's music playing very much in stores and restaurants any more, so this really stood out as a "Delight!" :-) From Lynn ... For Father's Day, I gave my father a radio/light that you can use during power outages. Besides running on batteries, it will run for about 45 min. after you crank it with the attached handle. He cranked it, then turned it on. Right then, "Annie's Song" started playing!!!! I blurted out, with a huge smile on my face, "John Denver!" My family joked that it must be a sign that the radio would work well. :) My children were excited. They love John's music. Needless to say, we listened to the whole song. The radio station is a small, local station, one I'll be listening to a lot more. |

| The campground is 'first come, first serve' ... I plan to arrive around noon, and can try to hold a site for you if you are coming later in the day. There can be up to six people on a site ... we can probably have 2-3 tents per site, too. E-mail me if you are planning to camp! |
